48th International Commission on the History of Geological Sciences (INHIGEO) Symposium

The 48th International Commission on the History of Geological Sciences (INHIGEO) Symposium will be held at the Polish Academy of Arts and Science in Cracow, Poland, between July 31st and August 4th, 2023. The symposium will be organsied by the Polish Geological Institute-National Research Institute, INHIGEO, the Polish Geological Society, and the Polish Academy of Arts and Science. The conference will explore themes of the history of geological mapping, the history of mining and old mines as objects of geological and mining heritage and their contemporary use, and the history of geological surveys and their creators, as well as general contributions and biographies of famous geologists.
