First International Congress on 5G & SDGs

The Polydisciplinary Faculty of Safi (Cadi Ayyad University, Morocco) in collaboration with the African Geoparks Network (AGN), the African Association of Women in Geosciences (AAWG) and the Organization of African Geological Surveys (OAGS) will be holding the first International Congress on Geodiversity, Geoheritage, Geotourism, Geoeducation, Geoparks & Sustainable Development Goals (5G & SDGs) from the 24th to 28th October 2023, in Safi (Morocco). The congress aims to identify, promote, and advise on the importance of geoheritage for sustainable development.

All researchers in the fields of geoheritage, geotourism, geoconservation, environment and sustainable development and geoethics, policy makers, economists, geoparks and local communities administrators and leaders, NGOs, business operators, media representatives, and individuals with interest in geoheritage development are invited to participate.

Provisional Program:
– 24 & 25 October 2023: Opening and registration / technical sessions
– 26 October 2023 : Workshops and roundtables / Visit of Safi city
– 27 & 28 October 2023: Field trip (Visit to Safi & Youssoufia aspiring geoparks).
