| Hybrid
The General Assembly 2023 of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) will take place 23-28 April 2023 in Vienna, Austria.
The purpose of the EGU General Assembly 2023 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. It aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience. More about the event here.
The EGU 2023 call for abstracts is now open. Submit your abstract to session ERE1.2 ‘The importance of the subsurface to support the resilience of energy supply in Europe’ convened by EuroGeoSurveys GeoEnergy Expert Group, the European Network for Research in Geo-Energy (ENeRG), COST Action Geothermal-DHC. The conveners welcome integrated and interdisciplinary research related to the use of sustainable geo-energy capacities, the storage of clean energy carriers, the storage of heat and cold, and CO2 storage, as well as the synergy of the mentioned technologies at one storage site or in one project. The deadline for abstract submission is 10 January 2023, 13:00 CET.
