Geospatial World Forum 2023

May 4

| Rotterdam

Geospatial World Forum (GWF) is an annual gathering of leading geospatial professionals and policymakers from all over the world. The event provides a platform for public policies, private sector enterprises, multilateral and development organizations, scientific and academic institutions, and large end-users to exchange ideas, engage in discussions, and build relationships.

The forum is renowned for its futuristic themes, engaging content, top-level attendees, and valuable networking opportunities. This year, the GWF will take place at the Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam, The Netherlands, from 2-5 May 2023.

EuroGeoSurveys (EGS) is proud to be an institutional partner at the GWF and will participate in the ‘Geology and Mining’ session. The theme of the EGS session is ‘Digital Transformation Enabling Sustainable Development Mandates.’ The session will focus on how digital transformation can aid the mining sector’s evolution and reduce its emissions, in line with sustainable development principles.

Geological Survey Agencies have traditionally been engaged in basic geological mapping and resource assessment. With the increasing urbanization of global populations and prevalence of geohazards, the application of geological mapping is set to expand beyond resource management to continuous earth systems monitoring and sub-surface development. The geological mapping organizations need to adapt and evolve to cater to the demands of a wide and diverse set of stakeholders and provide better quality information in accessible formats.

Join us at the GWF for a thought-provoking and engaging experience that promises to inspire innovation and collaboration in the geospatial industry.
