Webinar of Geoheritage Expert Group

The EuroGeoSurveys Geoheritage Expert Group (GhEG) is organizing a webinar series on the topic ‘Contribution of geological surveys to geoconservation’. The public webinar will take place on 28th November 2022 with three brief talks and a Q&A session with the speakers.

The title of the session is ‘Geoheritage for local socioeconomic development’. The speakers of the session are as follows:

• A bottom-up approach to enhance visibility and awareness of Bavaria‘s geoheritage, Roland Eichhorn, Bavarian Geological Survey (LfU)age
• County-level audits in Ireland: promoting and protecting local geoheritage, Clare Glanville, GSI
• Highlighting geoheritage in the world’s leading tourist country, Nicolas Charles, BRGM
