UNECE Resource Management Week 2024

The UNECE Resource Management Week 2024 will take place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, from 22-26 April 2024. Concurrently, the 15th session of the Expert Group on Resource Management (EGRM-15) will also be held during this week.

This year’s main theme, “Assuring Sustainability in Resource Management,” will focus on the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC) and the United Nations Resource Management System (UNRMS). These frameworks play pivotal roles in resource management on a global scale. Policy-makers, industry leaders, and scientific experts will collaborate to discuss strategies for achieving a sustainable future.

Dr. Julie Hollis, the Secretary-General of EuroGeoSurveys, will deliver the opening remarks on the first day between 11:00 and 11:20.

The week will feature a diverse range of formats and topics, including lectures, seminars, workshops, and short courses. These sessions aim to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of UNFC and UNRMS management and their significance in fostering a sustainable society.
